1. The luxury silk range currently on sale at La Senza is very well made, and the cut is good. The price is right too - expect to pay a lot more for the same thing in many other high end shops. The website pictures don't do the clothing justice, but here they are anyway. The gold cami set is particularly pretty and goes up to size 18 (and they even have a few in size 6 for the petites on the rails in the shops, which is unusual but great). As it's based on dress size, not cup size, gentlemen could buy them relatively easily as gifts...
2. The Secret Sample Sale is back in town in a few days, starting with an invitation-only preview on Friday 31st August from noon-7pm. Menswear, womenswear and accessories, all heavily discounted. More here. These sales tend to be well worth going to, although this month they may be full of summer clothing that the shops couldn't shift. However, might still be OK to wear for going out in, or for late holidays abroad.
As of 4.15pm, I'll be on leave for a whole blissful fortnight. Can't wait. Yesterday night I got to hang out with someone so cheery and positive that it brought into sharp focus exactly how grumpy I'd become over the last few weeks - I had no idea how cynical and pessimistic I was being, so shame on me. Holiday couldn't have come at a better time.

Debenhams - I'm getting a bit jaded about these people, when it was 70% off a few weeks ago it was just a sale, now it's up to 25% off and it's suddenly an EXTRAVAGANZA. Yeah, whatever.
