Just for Plubby
I'm baaaack! We had a lovely time at the Supersonic music festival at the Custard Factory in Birmingham.
We especially liked Mogwai, Tunng, Fuck Buttons and the Modified Toy Orchestra. We hated Chrome Hoof with a passion, especially because they have an 'interpretive' dancer (who we wanted to strangle) and do death-metal-freeform-jazz. In silver robes.
Great venue, no attitude, no real overcrowding, proper loos. Tickets only £35. We shall return.
Ladies, note for next year: about 90% of the punters are male. Some of them are not ugly. They are friendly.
We sat next to the keyboard player from Mogwai at breakfast on Sunday morning. Wifey has a bit of a crush on him. As usual, I didn't notice I was in the vicinity of several famous people, but Wifey did, and she was quite chuffed.
We were also given a guided tour of the city by one of the locals. The only minus point of the weekend was that we didn't have time for a proper balti, but you can't have everything.
Comments
'Chrome Hoof'? What a bloody stupid and very ugly name! Unlike 'Fuck Buttons' which is veh good.
Sounds like a fab weekend, Ms P.
Thanks Poglet, it was fab indeed. Was your weekend pleasant/debauched too? I truly hope it was.
Foxeh - Sadly we missed them as their set clashed with summat else. Are you going to the Nightmare Before Christmas? You'll love it - they have a leisure centre with a swimming pool, a bowling alley, and BANDS.
