Bugged
My health has not been fabulous lately. First came the head and shoulder injury, then came the mystery virus. I still seem to be ill well over a month down the line, so next week I'm going to go to the doc and see if I need to rule out glandular fever.
In the meantime, I have decided that a health kick is in order. Although I'm now flat broke until payday, I should be fine really. I have a cupboard full of posh vitamins, unlimited free mineral water at work, gym membership (keeping it to gentle swims for the time being), and access to plenty of cheap healthy food.
Of course, I have to remember to take the vits and mins, remember to drink lots of water, remember to get an early night, and make the effort to go to the gym and to cook properly. I should probably go out less and stay off the booze too.
Secretly though, I wish someone would ring up and tell me I've won a free week at a spa.

And - if anyone can engineer a free week in a spa, it's probably you. It might be worth a try!
It's this place - some people at work were telling me it's ace. There's an unimpressed Times article about it here, however.
I hope the doc can help you out, but it sounds as though you know all the things you need to do. If it were me, I'd be going for the sleep, fresh fruit and veg and plenty of walking. I'm not a great swimmer, so I don't know about it's psychological side-effects first hand, but certainly with walking, after a couple of miles I can feel the rhythm of pacing just settles anxieties and thoughts and makes me feel much more positive.
